Favorite Holidays

The other day I was chatting with my neighbor about her Halloween decorations. Her house is decked out for the big day with strobe lights and rusted chains, spooky ghouls swinging from her trees and decorative Halloween lights line her cob-web covered fence. 

Apparently Halloween is her most favorite holiday of them all. Mine, however, happens to be Christmas, but I'm traditional in that sense. To me, there's just something about the atmosphere that makes the winter holidays special. 

The stores are all decorated and cheerful, holiday songs resound throughout malls everywhere, kids with pink cheeks sip warm apple cider while Dad chops down this year's tree. No excuse necessary to cuddle up by the fire with a glass of wine and your favorite person. What's not to love?
